AI for Marketing: The Business Owner's Complete Playbook

KCKyle Craichy·Jun 4, 2026·2 min read

Marketing is the surface of your business AI can dominate hardest. Here's the exact system I run in People Trendy for our clients — and in my own brands.

The 4 marketing surfaces AI dominates in 2026

Every marketing dollar in a small business flows through four surfaces:

  1. Ad creative
  2. Ad management
  3. Outbound (cold email, DMs)
  4. Content (organic social, blog, video)

AI has fundamentally changed all four. Here's what that looks like operationally.

AI ad creative (my Higgsfield workflow)

We ship 30+ ads a week per client. Not by hiring more designers — by using Higgsfield as our brand model.

The process:

  • Train Higgsfield on the brand's visual identity.
  • Write the 3-part ad recipe in Claude (hook → comparison → CTA).
  • Batch-generate 30 image variations.
  • Layer text overlays in Canva.
  • Ship to Meta.

Total time: about 11 minutes. Total cost: pennies. See AI Ad Creative Workflow for the full breakdown.

AI ad management (what a human still does)

Meta's Advantage+ handles 80% of optimization now. Our media buyers spend their time on:

  • Weekly creative testing plans
  • Audience/geo experiments
  • Landing page conversion rate work
  • Reading the story behind the numbers

That's the "human-in-the-loop" reality of AI ad management in 2026: AI runs it, humans direct it.

AI cold outreach (Instantly + Apollo + AI)

Cold outreach came back in a big way this year — because AI made personalization at scale actually possible.

Our stack: Apollo for leads → Airtable for enrichment → Claude for the personalized opener → Instantly for send. See the Cold Outreach Playbook.

AI content (my carousel + reel cover pipeline)

Content is where most business owners burn out. Here's how I make it survivable:

  • Once a month: film 8–12 raw talking-head clips.
  • AI: turn each into a hook, a caption, and a carousel outline.
  • Higgsfield or Canva: cover images in bulk.
  • Publish: on a rolling schedule.

One filming day = a month of content.

Kyle's Note: The goal isn't more content — it's the same content, shipped with 20% of the effort.

What to build first if you're doing zero of this

Order matters. Do it in this sequence:

  1. Ad creative pipeline (biggest visible win).
  2. Content pipeline (compounds fastest).
  3. Ad management installation.
  4. Cold outreach system (only if you have appointment-setting infrastructure).

What NOT to automate

The human-in-the-loop moments matter:

  • Sales calls
  • Reputation replies
  • Refund conversations
  • Anything with a lawyer's fingerprint

AI is leverage, not judgment.
